Studio Ashby Bird Tea Tray
This needlepoint tapestry tea tray is designed by Studio Ashby, an interior design and creative direction practice founded by Sophie Ashby, for our latest homeware collection. The collection is inspired by American fashion designer turned Baroness, Pauline Rothschild (pictured below), who was famous for her timeless aesthetic.
The tea tray is inspired by Flemish tapestries and hones in on Rothschild's love of nature. Rothschild also had a love of entertaining and was renowned for her 'tablescapes', adorned with twigs and moss, which were said to transport her guests to the natural environment from which she'd gathered them. Similarly, these tea trays transport us to the woodlands which inspired them.
