The British Wildflowers Quilt was designed by Fine Cell Work volunteers, Jenny Bough and Melinda Barry, to be exhibited and auctioned at The Festival of Quilts in August 2025.

This quilt was stitched by many Fine Cell Work stitchers. Embroidery, piecing and quilting was shared and the hand work took over two years. The delicate designs evoke botanical drawings. Liberty Summer Meadow print surrounds them, while the borders are quilted with traditional cables and feathers.

The quilt was shortlisted for an award in the Group category of the competition of The Festival of Quilts, with the judges praising it as 'an oasis of calm in a busy category', adding, 'your embroidery is exquisite, some things in life are worth waiting for.'

The British Wildflowers Quilt auction will be live for the duration of The Festival of Quilts, and will remain open until midnight GMT on Sunday 10th August 2025.

The quilt has a guide price of £3,500, and bidding starts at £1,500.
