A NOTE OF THANKS

Writing a letter to a stitcher

Every Fine Cell Work product comes with a swing tag bearing the name of the maker,* and we encourage those who buy or receive an item to write a letter to the person who made it.

Each note of thanks will be passed onto the stitcher. This lets them know that their exquisite work is appreciated, and that their work has found a loving home.

"The first thank you letter I got was amazing. Even though I was in prison, there was someone outside with a smile on their face because of my work. That gave me a sense of purpose."

A Fine Cell Work stitcher

You can find a few tips and guidelines for writing a stitcher thank you note below:

- What did you buy, and why did you choose it?

- Was it bought as a gift, for a special occasion?

- Our stitchers love to hear from other creatives. If you are a stitcher or a maker, mention this in your letter.

Send your thank you letter care of the address below, and we’ll make sure it reaches the stitcher:

Fine Cell Work, PO Box 76275, London SW8 9FF

Please don’t include any identifying details such as your full name, home address, phone number, or email address.

*A few our stitchers prefer to remain anonymous - their name will not be included on the swing tag. You can still write a note of thanks - just let us know which Fine Cell Work product you bought and we’ll pass your letter on.
