London College of Fashion Embroidered Hands Cushion Fine Cell Work

London College of Fashion Embroidered Hands Cushion

This cushion was designed as part of a collaborative project with students from the Fashion Illustration course at the London College of Fashion. Laura Avey was one of the winning designs with this graphic hands print inspired by the theme ‘release’.

Fine Cell Work worked with the illustrator to create an embroidered cushion made with a high quality natural coloured linen in a new extra wide rectangular shape.

Each one is silkscreen printed and then hand-embroidered with a variety of stitches with the stitcher asked to ‘get creative’ and embellish to their heart’s content. The end result is a unique, one-of-a kind cushion, sure to be a talking point and the perfect accent for your sofa or bed.

  • Screen print and hand embroidery on linen. Feather cushion pad.
  • Stitching pattern varies
  • Size (approx inches): 23 x 12
  • Size (approx cm): 58 x 29
  • Designer: Laura Avey

Brings Me Joy

I had just returned home from surgery when my package arrived. When I opened the box and found a lavender sachet and hands cushion that were even lovelier than I had expected, it brightened my day and really my whole recovery. The quality is exceptional and I would recommend Fine Cell Work to everyone. I smile each time I look at these items. Thank you.

I am so very pleased with the cushion! It sits on the chair I use everyday and I love the graphics of hands in fabulous uplifting shades of your amazing hand stitching. Its taken me ages to get this cushion as it keeps selling out but now I have ONE, thank you so much. This is such a wonderful and creative team effort you all do, I hope you get as much pleasure in stitching the cushions and other wonderful things you make as we all do when we receive them.

Great design

I bought this for my Granddaughter who is studying fashion & textiles. It relates to working with your hands and tattoos. A great modern design and a good early project for the stitcher.
