On November 3rd we launched our new collection of cushions at the 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill. This was our best-selling event ever. Roughly 300 people came to the launch, which was opened by Edward Fox and we sold 400 items in all.

The new cushions - which featured embroidered tattoo designs and Johnny Cash lyrics -- were designed by a starry team headed up by Karen Nicol, visiting professor at the Royal College of Art, and Lesley Sealey who set up fashion label Uniform, as well as the artist Amy Gadney, and Jenny King.

The Johnny Cash cushion, with its memorable words "Because you're mine I walk the line" sold out, and visitors were able to view Fine Cell Work's new film in makeshift cells on the stage and in the foyer. Many visitors were visibly moved by the film.

Our thanks to Julie Howell, who designed the show, and the committtee, Faiza Cochrane, Caroline Conran, Harry Emck, Johnny Grimond, Denise Holle, Susan Jenkins, Amy Gadney, Sophie Kingsley, Sof McVeigh, Michael Scott, Christopher Tarling, Henry Worsley, Catherine Lindsay, Katy Millard, Charlotte Mitchell, William Thuillier, Francesca Tingley andTim Waterstone as well as all those loyal volunteers who helped.

Most of all, our thanks to Michael Scott of Archer Hoblin for his sponsorship and making it all possible.
